With a city like New Chicago, as it is, comes the low-life scum that I have to clean up. Those that have taken advantage of the situation, gone further than the authorities can tolerate.

So my assignment, Rick Menshikov; a dealer in body-suits. He specialised in ex-military--mainly Soviet Sector, so heavy build, but none of your pretty boys. You see the city has become a place for people to hide. It was dangerous as hell, so Menshikov sold suits. It means you could hide, and protect yourself. But there'd been problems, the suits were faulty. They were turning up at morgues with their occupants fried.

The solution you may think would be simple, take out Menshikov and stop the supply. Wrong! Although he's a powerful man in the district, his supplier would just push in another direction. They didn't care their suits were killing people, meant there'd be no creeps bitching about the two week charging cycle. That's why I'd proposed to take down their whole framework. My superiors knew better than argue with me, and signed off the mission plus expenses.

While I was busy finishing off my previous assignment, I got my partner Jackson to set up a base in the city--an apartment, not far from where Menshikov operated.

This assignment needed some specialised kit, and some honey to lure Menshikov out. I'd told Jackson to wear Danny, a teenager with the premise that he was my son. Once he was suited up he snapped a picture. He didn't have to, I'd used that suit myself just a few months earlier.

The second piece of kit was Ivan, he was an autonomous giant of a man. I'd designed the shell myself, although it was a wearable, it could function without anyone inside thanks to it's AI. I was kinda proud of that, the tech guys had used a mind-mapper and copied parts of my memory, and personality to power it.

Ivan and Danny had been there for six weeks now. Ivan didn't need any commands, but Danny was there as a handler all the same. From time to time he'd climb into the giant, taking over from the AI and perform scouting missions at the gym where Menshikov handled his business.
伊万和丹尼在那边已经有六周了。伊万不需要任何指令，但丹尼仍然需要控制他。丹尼会时不时穿上这个壮汉，从AI那里接管控制权，去曼斯科夫从事交易的健身房进行打探。
When my current mission had finished it was time to meet up with Ivan and Danny. I'd got a cab to a cafe, and sat waiting for them to arrive. It was busy, lots of people coming and going. But through the crowds, I spotted the giant, closely followed by Danny. There was a air of cocky confidence as swarms of people parted to make room for him. He spotted me, and smiled. I had to remind myself that this was just an automaton, admittedly with my psyche, but it was just an empty shell.

这些东西的来源真是可怕，感觉是一套黑色产业 任务、碰头啥的，摘要内容描写的主人公感觉像一个特务一样{:6_169:} 这些人皮感觉就像一个个游戏人物一样，不同的是可以体验到他独特的人生。对于自己人生已经枯燥无聊的人，和别人换皮也是很有乐趣的吧 阿门(´×ω×`)想起一些本子了，也是有皮套的……不过更可怕的，还是英语学渣看到这么多英文的，瑟瑟发抖ing 外国的语句读起来有点吃力，每个字都认识，但理解有点费劲。 补药学英文啊，今天练了足足八篇阅读，四篇完形 看见英语就头大了QAQ
多人合作翻译还是很不错的，汉化人员真的非常用心了
