電影叫做《Everest》，自然就是拍攝人類挑戰攀登最高峰「聖母峰」的故事。
故事改編自 Jon Krakauer 在 1997 年所出版的
《Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster》
，這本書記錄了作者在 1996 年跟隨著登山團隊挑戰攀登聖母峰，但卻遭遇暴風雪襲擊，團隊死傷慘重的意外。
1996 年同時也是單季攀登聖母峰的挑戰者們死亡人數最高的一季，包含台灣登山隊在內，共有15個人死在山裡。

話雖如此，不過這是要拍電影，所以當然是在很安全的地方進行拍攝，他們甚至都不需要來到喜馬拉雅山，只要在羅馬取景就好。

最近他們在拍攝傑克葛倫霍的戲分，只是在拍片現場我們看到傑克葛倫霍只遮了重要部位，就這樣光溜溜在片場演戲，當他背對記者時，整個屁屁線條都被看光了O///O
