Turn Loose of the Merman
In the depths of the sea, he longs to be,
With his scales and his trident, he roams the tide,
In the kingdom of Neptune, where he'll reside.
His hair like seaweed, his eyes like the abyss,
He rules the ocean with a regal kiss,
But beware, oh sailor, of his watery realm,
For the merman's allure is like a spell.
He'll sing to you songs of the ocean's deep,
And lull you to slumber in waters' keep,
But don't be deceived by his charming ways,
For in his embrace, you may lose your days.
Turn loose of the merman
Back to the sea where the currents flow,
For though he's a creature of beauty and grace, His world is not meant for the human race.
Here, weary traveler, rest your wand
Sleep the Journey from your eyes
